Transforming educational and cultural exchanges

When we talk about gender problems we dare say that Kyrgyz culture differs from other Turkish people with their openness, flexibility, and tolerancy. There is a great influence of the neibouring countries for the Kyrgyz culture like the southern part of Kyrgyzstan . The people in that area are more religiuos and they are also under the influence of the patriarchat system. The woman can do everything at the same time like be a mother, a leader. active memeber of the society, or whatever would you like her to be. I would like to give an idea that women should be free in mind as well as phisically, only then she will achieve great success in the life. I hope that if the woman is educated the society will benefit from them All the best Zina from Kyrgyzsatn

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
