Hello Jack! Think about you so often! over 180 now actually.

Meeting with two people this week: one involved with an Iraqui student project and another with people living their entire lives in a refugee camp on the border of northern Uganda/southern Sudan. To see how Global Visits can be involved.

Need to talk with you soon. Lots happening And George is getting a hip replaced in two weeks. So busy!

Hi, George. I'd welcome the contact information. You and Betty might well know the people I'm reading -- James Cochrane is at the University of Cape Town, Steve de Gruchy is at the University of Natal, and I think Paul Germond is at Witwatersrand. Cochrane came to Washington in May to help teach one of my classes for my Doctor of Ministry program in "Faith and the Health of Communities."

Good to hear from you Jack. I've been quiet with Global Visits as I face a hip replacement near the end of September. Living on pain killers makes it hard to concentrate. A contact for your discussion group on Healthworlds, might be Neil Tashima of LTG Associates in Washington. I have his contact information. Best.

Welcome aboard! Thanks for signing up. You are very creative. What ideas can you share in the current forum topic on projects for the classroom?

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
