Hello George - is this working? I still do not understand what GloalVisits is all about, or how it works. This is the first message I have tried to answer so I hope it works. All I do online is email.
I know Leominster Mass fairly well - my grandparents lived in Vermont and I passed thru Leomionster all the time coming and going. In Mass they say "Leminster", here in the UK they say "Lemster". Herefordshir is lovely - one of the most rural counties in the UK, and especially beautiful in the springtime. I hope you are well - Katie (wife) and I are OK except for some medical problems I have, but they are being cared for well here.
Let me know if this came thru - I am not sure how ti send it now.

George...with the exception of the 'Soviet' bike and me and Ludmilla at the reception, all the photos are from 2003-2004. I put those on before I left to gie people an idea of what Kyrgyzstan looked like. :)

Dear George,

just now I sent you my invitation to be my friend.

How are you? I hope that everything is OK with you and your family.

I hope that you remember me. I was an instructor on biology to Joe in Bishkek. You gave me a recommendation for participation in Fulbright Program. I think that this recommendation was one of reasons for choosing me as a finalist.

I am in touch with Betty. We talked several times, when I was in Miami.

Just today I talked with Svetlana Kydykbaeva. She worked with you here, in Bishkek. She was Fulbright Scholar in Maine.

Good to hear from you as well. I retired from NMSU about 14 years ago and still live in the same place. All the kids are married and we're not Great Grandparents to two little Texans. I'm headed for Taos tomorrow and will be out of the loop until Friday or so. I serve as State President for AARP NM and we're having an Executive Council Meeting prior to a national meeting in Washington, DC.
email is: lcnormex@aol.com, or lsarabia@aarp.org

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
