Karen....I just got your email. Do you still have the original email I sent with the friend request? Just click on the link and that will allow that.

We are soon going to have a posting or discussion on Global Vistis regarding Lebanon, in partnership with LebJournal in Beirut, an on line journal started by some young Lebanese. It will be very interesting.

So good to hear from you!

Betty
For now we have an active blog about Afghanistan. You should participate in that as well.

Hello Karen !!!! GOD , long time no see !! We miss you too. I hope everything is going great with you guys ! How's everybody ? life/ work etc. ?
As for us, we're doing fine, a bit overwhelmed, but at least things are finally paying off !
Concerning the US economic crises,or let's say the world economic crises caused by the US economic failure (which intentionally took place, at least this is my belief) I guess we better organize a chat for at least 30/40mn to be able to discuss such a catastrophic situation.
Anyway it's always nice to talk to old friends, it's really good to be back on track
For now , have a great week and please send our regards to your family Karen
Rami and Dayana.

Hi Karen: why not start a blog? That would be one way to start an open discussion. We are still growing our base of international students so you might not get a response from people outside the US just yet. We are still growing? There is also a forum you could start. What is the difference between starting a blog versus a forum? I am going to get back to you, because either one invites comments.

Karen...welcome to the new Global Visits! I am hoping I can get another project going involving Lebanon, or the Middle EAst in general. I remember very well how so very active you were with our Projeft Perception. What are you doing these days? Still a student? Say hello also to Peg.

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
