Hi Kelsey,

Ethical Expeditions (http://ethicalexpeditions.ning.com/) is conserving our natural world by building the green generation through education. We'd love to have you as a member of our network to support our efforts as we work with students and schools around the world.

Kelsey, is it correct that you are a secondary teacher? Elementary or high school? Global Visits is a bit quiet right now because we focus on university level projects. Have you heard of Global Education Initiative? They have projects and connections for elementary, junior and senior high school teachers. Their web site is www.globaleducation.ning.com....also a ning project. LUcy Gray who heads this up is also on Global Visits if you want to connect with her here. Good luck and let me know what happens!

Hi Kelsey: by the way, we used to live in Portland...actually Tualatin and miss the mountains! But discovered that I was really an East Coast person, having lived there many years. Oregon offered so much and it would have been better had I moved there straight out of college.

Lets continue our discussion and see how Global Visits can get you involved in a project. Is your school currently engaged in global projects? And how?

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
