Lew...I will call you to follow up. But could you cut and paste your postings so far on the "increased visibility" discussion section of the Advsory Board group site? That way more people can respond and join in. I am thinking of one person in partifcular -- Robert Yoshioka from CA -- who has thoughts also about using high schools and is also very creative. You two would have great chats!! Oh.....action conversations!!

As for our own follow up, when is a good time to call and at what number.

Lew......welcome aboard again to our action conversation! Could you re-post under the discussion group "Increased visibility" and we can get an on going thread going. You are so creative! Thanks so much. There is a great deal floating about the web, but so much of it is private blogs. We have all the power of facebook but with a specfic mission and focus. And I agree, the timing is great. Maybe a foreign policy soon we can be proud of. Imagine.....

But go to the increased visiblity section and lets see what happens.

Cheers!

Lew....welcome aboard!! Looks like your having fun there in your photo. Where is that stadium? You know that Duke is an ND rival....but we will put that aside. UNC also possibly....OK...put that aside as well. What is your alma mater? We will put that aside also.

Cannot tell you how much I miss laughing with you when we would have only the smallest of chance meetings.....like any time I needed a laugh and walked across the street.

Lew....do you see a possibility of perhaps creating a project using this technology? Students through your Jewish federation network with students in Israel?

I am so excited about this new web site, and what it can mean for transforming educational and cultural exchanges.....in the name of peace, friendship and great collaboration and learning.

Betty

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
