Hello Ms. Williams,
I am sure you do not remember me! I was one of many students in the Lebanon project. I just want to say hello and I am very glad that you are still involved. Please know that your instruction really changed and opened up my world. I just want to say thank you!

Hello Peg Williams,

I am in your M/W 9am A104 class and I am really getting a lot of interesting information from you and the book that I can apply to my photographic cultural studies and film making projects. Thanks!

Sadly, my degree is not complete. I would love to come meet Professor Kamaara this fall. I enjoy meeting others and learning about their cultures. Hope all is well with you. Have a great day!

Oh good to know of all your work in Bayreuth University. So, do you want to invite your students to Global Visits?

Hii Peg,

You have been in my prayers, particularly since your last communication and the fact that you were sick. I trust you are well recovered or on way to full recovery. God bless you and grant you full restoration. Great also that your baby gal came over to be with you over the period. My salamus to her.

I am really looking forward to the arrival of Mercy tomorrow 6th! I have really missed her and it is worse now that i am away from the rest of the family. They envy me a great deal back home because they are not sure when they will see her next! I will tell you about me and Mercy after I size her up on arrival!

I am in Bayreuth since June as a Guest Professor at the Institute of African Studies, Bayreuth University. I stay on till end of November. It is great having experience on how things are done away from familiar environs, especially in the developed world. The 6-month experience i had in Lancaster - UK was such an eye opener coz that was the first time i was away from home for long, especially in a university setting. The current experience adds plenty of value, not just for comparison, but for my own holistic growth, extension of horizons and perceptions. I thank God for the opportunity.

Take care dear!

A 'Wired' Mission

Go anywhere in the world, and we are 'wired' together by advancing technology. But we have yet to figure out how to 'wire' peace. Our mission is to use this technology to leap over vast cultural and geographical divides, linking students and teachers together, to talk with each other, laugh together, collaborate in a project, share pictures of our families, our favorite songs.....to be friends.

For several years, Global Visits was a pioneer using modern communications technology to linking people together from diverse cultures. We called our efforts 'non traditional' student exchanges.

Now, we join the world of 'social networking' with a serious purpose: peace and understanding.
